Position: Civil/Geotechnical Project Engineer

Consistently ranked in the top 100 of ENR's Top 500 Design Firms, our markets are diverse and include transportation, energy, water/wastewater, commercial development, industry, healthcare, education and government. We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time Civil/Geotechnical Engineering Project Engineer to join our team in Greenville, South Carolina.


The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Group Leader and will support a wide range of civil, geotechnical and environmental design projects for Energy, Industrial and Government clients including reservoirs, dams, pipelines, landfills, storm water management, erosion control, and office and building projects. General responsibilities include development of conceptual design, engineering analysis of design alternatives, drawing/detail preparation, construction cost estimating, specification preparation, construction site inspections, proposal and report preparation, and communication with internal and external clients. The position requires experience in geo-environmental, stormwater management; earthwork/grading plans; and associated permitting.  



  • BS (MS preferred) in Civil Engineering required;
  • 3-5 years of Civil Engineering experience;
  • Previous experience within the energy market preferred;
  • South Carolina Professional License preferred;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Strong work ethic and possess the ability to work as a team player;
  • Excellent computer skills and well-organized;
  • Experience with CADD, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint;
  • Civil 3D experience considered beneficial but not required;
  • Occasional out of town travel;
  • Occasional work beyond a normal work week (40 hours), as required by project demands; and
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.

This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
