Consistently ranked in the top 100 of ENR's Top 500 Design Firms, our markets are diverse and include transportation, energy, water/wastewater, commercial development, industry, healthcare, education and government. We recruit top talent and are currently seeking a full-time Civil Engineering Staff Professional to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina.



The successful candidate will work under the supervision of a Licensed Engineer and will support a wide range of civil, geotechnical and environmental design projects for Energy, Industrial and Government clients including reservoirs, dams, pipelines, transmission, landfills, storm water management, erosion control, and stream stabilization projects.  Responsibilities include development of conceptual designs, engineering analysis of design alternatives, grading plan development, general plan preparation, construction cost estimating, and specification preparation.  Additional responsibilities include construction and environmental inspections, report preparation, and communication with vendors, internal and external clients.  Qualified candidates must have excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong work ethic and possess the ability to work as a team player, as well as experience with CADD.




  • BS in Civil Engineering required;
  • MS in Civil or Geotechnical Engineering preferred;
  • 0-2 years of Civil Engineering experience;
  • Engineering Intern certification required;
  • Eligible for the PE license within 4-5 years of employment;
  • Excellent computer skills and well-organized;
  • Civil 3D experience considered beneficial but not required;
  • Occasional travel and the ability to work outside normal business hours required; and
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.



This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience. Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
