S&ME is seeking an Industrial Project Manager to join and help lead the strategic growth of S&ME's Industrial team and services. The selected candidate will join a successful, highly productive team of civil site engineers, landscape architects, geotechnical and environmental engineers in support of industrial projects throughout the southeast and across the United States.  This position will be based in either the Tampa or Orlando, Florida area.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Work cooperatively with other project managers, group leaders, area managers, and others, as needed, to ensure work is being conducted by qualified personnel who have sufficient education, qualifications, experience, and training to complete the work in a quality manner;
  • Manage projects and budgets, meeting project deadlines, and ensuring the delivery of successful projects.
  • Mentor junior and entry level staff to help them grow and develop;
  • Coordinate with the Business Unit Client Development Leaders to identify, market, and win clients and projects;
  • Maintain a positive image within their local geographic area or within their specific market sector to help build a positive company brand with name recognition in their field of work.

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required;
  • Professional Engineer registration in Florida, or able to obtain within six months a plus;
  • 8 or more years of progressive experience in civil engineering design projects including site/land development and/or utilities;
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and stormwater modeling software is a plus;
  • Well organized with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work;
  • Candidate will have good communication skills, including written, oral and listening, and good interpersonal skills as well as ability to work and interface well in a collaborative project team environment;
  • Able to interact positively and effectively with people in all levels of organizations.



This is a full-time position with competitive pay based on experience.  Successful candidate must meet requirements of the company's Fleet Management Program, Substance Policy and Reference check program.
