Position: Construction Project Scheduler

S&ME, Inc., provides construction inspection services, planning, environmental, and design, for traditional and alternative delivery transportation projects, from concept through construction. The Transportation Business Unit is seeking a full-time, Construction Project Scheduler for our Raleigh, North Carolina location.


Primary Responsibilities:

  • Performs reviews of contractor-submitted baseline schedule, periodic schedule updates, and schedule revisions for compliance with the specifications and overall reasonableness;
  • Assessment of delays/improvements to contractual milestones;
  • Develops and/or reviews change orders and time extension requests;
  • Assists with development and/or analysis of post-construction delay analyses;
  • Provides schedule development and updates services for contractors.



  • B.S. in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required;
  • 2-8 years' experience providing schedule development and/or review services on vertical and/or horizontal construction projects required;
  • P.E. license, Certified Construction Manager, Planning and Scheduling Professional, and/or Project Management Professional certification preferred;
  • Highly proficient in Primavera P6 and experienced with one or more of the following: Microsoft Project, Phoenix Project Manager, or similar;
  • Additional experience in one or more of the following desired: construction management, cost estimating, value engineering, risk management, constructability review, claims analysis, and/or contract administration;
  • Ability to relate technical knowledge to a non-technical audience;
  • Proficiency in reading/understanding construction plans and specifications;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software programs;
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
